The following events are true and real.

Two years ago, David Phillips, a rugged adventurer with a mysterious past, met Max Rodzon, an intelligent and spirited antiquarian with a passion for ancient Egypt. David had been touring the world and battling wraiths when he was imprisoned by a corrupt vizier after being tricked into retrieving an ancient artifact from a double haunted tomb. Max’s own globetrotting adventure of wonder and thrills was temporarily on hold, as they were looking for a place to get lunch. Serendipity led Max into the very arena where David was to be executed via sick ass fight with a wyvern. Followed always by their trusty Golden Shadow Griffin, Max halted David’s execution and in a flurry of martial prowess busted him from the prison where he was being unjustly held. Max needed David’s knowledge of the desert and the lost city of Bellinghamunaptra for an archaeological expedition to unearth a legendary Magic House known for its ability to be a wellspring of joy. Though their partnership began as a matter of necessity—David for freedom and Max for desert guidance—their journey through danger, ancient curses, and supernatural threats gradually transformed their dynamic into one of mutual respect, trust, and affection. Also Griffin was there. Two years after that fateful arena meeting, the two proposed to each other during The Case of the Madman’s Zeppelin.
